Prior to my son attending UPwards Tuition, I have spent countless amounts of money on tuition where he was not making any noticeable progress. I had almost given up any hope of finding good tuition support. 

I was introduced to UPwards Tuition although I was initially cautious that this may be a repeat of previous experiences. However, that was not the case. 

My son Zachary started UPwards Tuition in October 2020 and started to make progress shortly before lockdown came back in force.  

I was worried that with all the progress that he had made within a short space of time it would be lost as we had no idea how long lockdown would in force for. 

Zachary recently started online tuition with his tutor Mrs. Aisha Grant-Dafalla, and it was evident from the first day that this was a good decision. It was almost as though he had no break. 

Zachary looks forward to the lessons each week, where he has positively engaged with Aisha. Aisha has a clear plan of learning objectives and outcomes, and lessons are tailored to his learning style. 

Aisha is firm but equally as caring and identify strengths and weaknesses where she is able to capitalise on this. 

I am really happy with the extra support. I think that Aisha is a brilliant teacher!!

I wanted to express my gratitude and thanks to you for the progress my Daughter who attended tutoring with you for about 4 months prior to the 2020 GCSE grading made. While she attended tutoring she developed more understanding of concepts in Mathematics and Science where she was predicted to make grade 5 in each of them. She started scoring high marks in most of the tests prior to being graded and she herself expressed greater confidence in those subjects. 

As a result, her grades in Mathematics and Science improved to 7 in each of these subjects which were her final grades. 

Not only did it boost her confidence, it also resulted in her improving her grades in the Final Result.

I am hoping to bring her sister to tutoring earlier in her GCSE year.

I’m so thankful for the staff at Upward Tuition. I could not have trusted a better tutoring company to provide the support my niece needed in preparation for her GCSEs. My niece received tutoring for both GCSE English and Maths. 

One thing in particular that I like about the team is that they exercise great patience in breaking down what a student may perceive to be a complex concept into a manner that is more easily understood. My niece has always struggled with Maths and lacked confidence in her ability to do well, however with the support she received her confidence grew which brought me joy when I listened to her tell me how she  “finally” understood topics that she felt she just couldn’t get her head around! 

I also admire the fact that the team genuinely cares about the progress and overall development of its students. They care about instilling self-belief and encouraging students to pursue their dreams and to never give up. They do more than just teach, they indirectly help families provide the encouragement and support that will propel students towards a brighter future for themselves and the society they live in.
